Historic AI Treaty Signed: Nations Unite to Ensure AI Ethics and Human Rights

In a historic move, the first-ever global treaty on artificial intelligence was signed on September 5, 2024. This groundbreaking agreement, spearheaded by the Council of Europe, aims to ensure that AI development and usage align with human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. Countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and several others have committed to this treaty, making it the first legally binding international framework on AI.
